At the meeting of the organizing committee for the preparation and celebration in Tatarstan 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, RT Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Education and Science Engel Fattakhov urged to change the forms of work of “timurovsky” units of the republic.

“The task of the school – to prepare employable graduates , not just having quality knowledge. It is important that he had an active civil position , was physically and morally developed. This is clearly defined in the new federal standards , “- the Minister said.

He noted that the need to constantly update forms of work with young people in connection with the spirit of the times. “Timurovskoe” movement has always been an effective means of education through direct involvement of children in specific cases . In recent years, full continuity has not been achieved as it was within the Pioneer organization. It is necessary to

revise the forms and methods of work, taking into account the characteristics and interests of today’s children , age and special vulnerability of our veterans , “- E.Fattakhov said.

He said that some notable projects in this direction today exist in secondary vocational education institutions : students of Nizhnekamsk industrial college students render veterans hairdressing, volunteers of Kazan Mechanics and Technology College food industry make partial repair works, students of Elabuzhsky Polytechnic College sew clothes and help in repairing household items.
