Minnikhanov congratulated Tatarstanians on their Mother Language Day and the 133th anniversary of the birth of Tukai

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated residents of the republic on their Mother language Day and the 133th anniversary of the birth of the great Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukai.
The President of the Republic of Tatarstan emphasized that Tukay is rightfully considered an unfading symbol of the original Tatar culture and the pride of the Tatar people, his works are imbued with sincere love for his native land and unique language.
“Gabdulla Tukay spiritually inspired our people, connecting us with numerous creative threads to the culture of other peoples of great Russia and the whole Turkic world,” Minnikhanov noted. And he recalled that last year Kazan International Airport was named after the classic, and this year a monument was opened in Ufa.
“The soul of the Tatar people lives in literary and theatrical creativity, verses and songs, reflects its best moral qualities, reproduces its identity. We are responsible to future generations for the enormous spiritual and cultural wealth that we inherited from our ancestors, ”says the President of Tatarstan.
Rustam Minnikhanov drew attention to the fact that the republic pays priority attention to the development of languages, cultural and religious traditions of all the peoples living here, and expressed particular gratitude to teachers, scientists, culture, art, and religious people on whose shoulders the spiritual world rests.
