The native language has always been an integral part of the culture and an indicator of the national identity of the people. At all times, languages originated, existed, then died, sometimes without even leaving a trace. But never before did they disappear as quickly as today. I think that is why the International Mother Language Day, which has been celebrated this week already 19 times in history, is becoming more and more relevant every year.
The events of recent years have shown that for Tatarstan the fate of the Tatar language is a matter of preserving the nation.
