Mosaic of linguistic cultures: Tatar language in the Republic of Belarus

The presentation of the project “Mosaic of linguistic cultures: Tatar language in the Republic of Belarus” was held in the framework of the week of the International Mother Language Day at the State Museum of the History of Belarusian Literature.
The director of the museum Rybakov Mikhail Leonidovich made a welcoming speech, he noted the interrelation of the Tatar “Kitabs” and the Belarusian language. Natalia Kutuzova from the Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus spoke about the situation with the languages of national minorities in the world, Belarusian and European experience in this field. Levshevich Elvira introduced the participants of the round table about the Tatar language, cultural traditions, the history of the Tatar costume, cultural contacts between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Tatarstan.
The musical decoration of the meeting was the performance of the folk group “Leisen” under the musical accompaniment of head of the folk ensemble “Verbitsa” Alexander Svirsky.
