On the eve of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War, a solemn flower-laying ceremony will take place at the Eternal Flame near the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Gorky Park on May 7 at 10:00 AM, on behalf of the multiethnic youth of Tatarstan. The event is organized by the Youth Assembly of the Peoples of Tatarstan with support from the Ministry for Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The event will also feature a youth poetry initiative titled “Let Us Bow to Those Great Years”. Activists from the Youth Assembly, representatives of youth movements from the republic’s national-cultural autonomies, as well as students from the multiethnic Sunday school, will recite poems dedicated to the Great Patriotic War and the contribution of the multinational Soviet people to Victory — in their native languages.
Participants in the event will include Farid Mukhametshin, Chairman of the State Council and the Assembly of the Peoples of Tatarstan, as well as representatives of relevant agencies and ministries, leaders and activists of national-cultural autonomies, and pupils of the multiethnic Sunday school.
