In Chelyabinsk, an event dedicated to an important date in the history of Tatar culture—the 120th anniversary of the birth of Musa Jalil—was held at the Sh. Babich Library.
On this day, more than 40 people gathered together to honor the poet’s memory and connect with his legacy. During the meeting, guests watched a film about Musa Jalil, learned about the key moments of his life, and heard poems performed live by the event’s participants.
The event concluded with a quiz, during which participants learned facts from the poet’s life and about works that continue to live on in the creative output of representatives of Tatar culture. Afterwards, over tea, the participants continued the discussion and exchanged thoughts.
Special thanks to our partners, Tatar Cinema and the Jalil Museum, for providing the film and their contribution to preserving the memory of the great poet.
Such meetings help us not just to remember, but to truly feel our culture and history.
