On November 20, a musical and literary evening dedicated to the Tatar composer Nazib Zhiganov took place in Novosibirsk.

The event was hosted by Lyudmila Gindulina, Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, head of the vocal and artistic circles of the Novosibirsk Regional Tatar Cultural Center.

According to President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, “Nazib Zhiganov is rightfully included in the great galaxy of glorious sons of the Tatar people, whose work marked a new stage in the development of the Tatar national musical culture. The activity of Nazib Zhiganov is so great and diverse that it allows us to speak of him as one of the largest figures in the musical culture of the 20th century, not only in Tatarstan, but also in Russia as a whole”.
