On October 14, 2023, the II Interregional Scientific and Practical Conference “Nasretdinov Readings” was held at the Paranga House of Culture (Republic of Mari El).

The conference was organized by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation together with the Ministry of Culture, Press and National Affairs of the Republic of Mari El, the Administration of the Paranginsky District of the Republic of Mari El and the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Mari El.

The event began with a video message from the Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation, Mufti Ravil Gainutdin.

A greeting on behalf of the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of the Tatars Danis Shakirov was read by the director of the Republican Center of Tatar Culture Ilgis Gaisin.

During the conference, several reports were made on the topics: “Islamic education in the Volga-Ural-Siberian region in Soviet times”; “Islam in the historical and cultural traditions of the Mari”; “Ahmad bin Hafezetdin: life and views”; “Essay on the life and work of Burkhanetdin ibn Nasretdin”; “Religious self-identification of the Tatars of the Republic of Mari El: based on sociological research in recent years”, etc.

During the scientific meeting, the relevance of the task of studying, reviving and popularizing the spiritual foundations of the Tatar Muslim communities of the Republic of Mari El, as well as preserving traditional spiritual and moral values, was noted.
