The new Tatar radio station “Kitap” will broadcast on the frequency of 98.6 MHz popular literary works in the Tatar language, including poetry, prose. In addition, the radio will broadcast theatrical performances in the Tatar language. This was reported by IA Tatar-inform by  Deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan,  representative of the parliament of the republic in the Federal Competition Commission for Broadcasting Ayrat Zaripov.

“The radio format involves  broadcasting of audio recordings of literary works voiced by famous artists of Tatarstan on a musical background. The activity of the radio channel will be a response to a number of social, cultural and spiritual and educational requests of the residents of Tatarstan, ”Zaripov said.

According to him, three participants fought for the right to broadcast in Tatarstan at a frequency of 98.6 MHz: JSC “Tatmedia”, LLC “Big Radio” and LLC “Orenoblemedia”. The Kitap project at the meeting of the Federal Competition Commission was presented by  Deputy Head of the Department of Television and Radio Broadcasting of JSC Tatmedia Almaz Mirgayazov. The representative of the Government of Tatarstan Elvira Akhmetova also participated in the meeting of the tender commission.
