June 23, 2018 in the city of Omsk on the territory of the Park of Culture and Leisure “Green Island” on Starozagorodnaya Roshcha street, 10/1, within the framework of the 20th anniversary of the Public Organization of the Regional Tatar national-cultural autonomy of the Omsk region “Madaniyat”  the 12th annual Tatar national holiday Sabantuy will be held. The event is held with the support of the Administration of the city of Omsk.

The event will be attended by invited guests from the Omsk region, residents of the city of Omsk.

The estimated number of participants is about 10,000 people, with no restrictions on age and social status. Guests are welcomed by performances of Omsk and Omsk regions, selling Tatar folk cuisine, exhibitions of the national courtyards, grounds for national games and fun, children’s playroom, sports grounds with presentation of oriental martial arts, and much more. A special pride of the holiday is the tournament on  Tatar wrestling on  belts named after  Timerzhan Kalimullin (Kuresh), which gathers  a large number of participants and spectators.
