Deputy Chairman of RT State Council Rimma Ratnikova participated in the “festival of the plow” in Atyrau region of Kazakhstan.

On the eve, the guests from Tatarstan were received by Deputy Akim of Atyrau region Shyngys Mukan. The reception took place in a warm, friendly atmosphere. The parties discussed the kinship customs, traditions and way of life of the people and especially the national policies of the two republics. According to official sources, the Tatars in Kazakhstan – the second largest in the Tatar Diaspora abroad. There are about 250 thousand Tatars (1.7%). They are represented in all 15 regions of Kazakhstan and occupy sixth place in the country by population.

We remind, five years ago, a delegation from Tatarstan headed by Parliament chairman Farid Mukhametshin visited the Republic of Kazakhstan where they were carefully studied aspects of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan. Experience of the institution to ensure the integration efforts of ethnocultural associations, revival, preservation and development of national cultures, languages and traditions of the people of Kazakhstan where more than 100 nationalities, was accepted r by the Assembly of Peoples of Tatarstan.
