In connection with the 100th anniversary of the TASSR, State Archive of the Republic of Tatarstan is actively working to create a genealogical portal. To date, more than 1000 archival documents have been found. Among them is a letter to Lenin from Chairman of the Kazan Provincial Executive Committee I.I. Khodorovsky, as well as the Decree of the Council of People’s Commissars on the establishment of the Commissariat for Muslim Affairs.
Interesting materials about the life of the Tatars were found in Japan, Turkey, Iran and the UK. Moreover, negotiations are underway on their transportation to Tatarstan.
After a business trip to Turkey, employees of the State Archives of the Republic of Tatarstan were very impressed by the portal. According to the head of the State Archives of the Republic of Tatarstan, Gulnara Gabdrakhmanova, in this country, the data collection system for each ancestry and family has been operating since the Ottoman Empire. There each surname has its own specific code. And only having scored your last name in the portal one can familiarize himself with entire genealogy.
It is expected that at the end of the year the portal will operate normally.
