Prizes have been awarded to a columnist of IA “Tatar-Inform” Lucia Kamalova and journalist, social activist Rimzil Valeev.
Tatarstan journalists have been granted prestigious TURKSOI awards in journalism. A nominal award was solemnly presented in Ankara last night, February 24, cultural commentator of IA “Tatar-Inform” Lucia Kamalova for active coverage of TURKSOY in Tatarstan. In addition, the prize was awarded advisor to the General Director of JSC “Tatmedia” journalist Rimzil Valeev for publication in the newspaper «Intertat.ru» and the magazine “TURKSOY”. Inauguration ceremony of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) was timed to coincide with the official opening of the Year of Taner Khaldun. Total, at the end of 2014 were awarded the highest award 23 journalists from Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, the Russian regions such as Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Dagestan, Khakassia, as well as Macedonia and Northern Cyprus. Tatarstan was presented by Rimzil Valeev and Lucia Kamalova on the recommendation of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic.
