From May 23 to 25, the Days of Cinema of the Republic of Tatarstan will be held in Kyrgyzstan.

Film days of the Republic of Tatarstan in Kyrgyzstan are a continuation of the project “Week of Tatarstan film” initiated by “Tatarkino” for the promotion and development of Tatarstan cinematography.
From May 23 to 25, the Days of Cinema of the Republic of Tatarstan will be held in Kyrgyzstan. As part of the program, viewers of Kyrgyzstan will be able to appreciate the film works by directors of our republic. Representing the films in Bishkek will be accomplished by the Tatarstan delegation led by the director of the state institution “Tatarkino”, executive director of the Kazan Film Festival, producer Milyausha Aytuganova. The delegation also included chairman of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation RT, film director Ildar Yagafarov, writer, film director, playwright, member of the Union of Writers and the Union of Cinematographers of the Republic of Salavat Yevzeyev and director, producer, screenwriter Ilshat Rahimbai.
For three days, the residents of Kyrgyzstan will see Tatarstan full-length films “Mulla” (directed by R. Fazliev, A.Galiaskarov), “Baigal” (directed by I.Yagafarov), “Kurban-romance: a story with a victim” (directed by S.Yuzeyev ) and the short film “Gastarbeiter”, “Do not believe it!” and “Imagine” (dir. I.Rahimbay). The works by directors of Tatarstan will be shown in Bishkek at the Oktyabr cinema and the Cinema House named after Ch. Aitmatov.
Within the framework of the event, Tatarstan delegation will meet with head of the Department of Cinematography Muktala Bektenaliev and chairman of the Union of Cinematographers of Kyrgyzstan Taalaybek Kulmendeev.
As reported by Milyausha Aytuganova, the meeting participants will discuss issues of further cooperation. In particular, it will address the methods of bilateral promotion films on the territory of Kyrgyzstan and Tatarstan, selected films based on the works by Chingiz Aitmatov for the competition program KMFMK 2018. Also, within the framework
of the meeting, colleagues from Kyrgyzstan will be awarded unique archive photo and video materials of the last years of Chingiz Torekulovich’s life. Materials will be included in the new co-production in honor of the 90th anniversary of the birth of the famous writer.
