The results of the “Own Language” contest, dedicated to the study of the Tatar language and the development of Tatar culture, have been revealed. The event took place at the House of Education Workers, the press service of the Kazan Mayor’s Office reports.
The competition, which is being held for the third time this year, kicked off on 1 March. Over 70 applications were received from students and young people in Kazan. 17 authors of creative, interesting, and youth-friendly language learning projects made it to the finals.
Schoolchildren and students were particularly active this year, and many of them were among the finalists.
The total prize fund of two million roubles was split between 6 authors. These are the winners of the “Own Language” competition:
- Dinara Fayrushina (speech therapy instruments);
- Aidar Niyazov (Sultan Gabashi National Music Festival);
- Gulnur Fakhrullina (“Hello, Microbe!”, the first popular science book on microbiology for children in Tatar);
- Alsu Mansurova (weekly audio and video podcast in Tatar with representatives of the national creative industry “Kainatma”);
- Zuleikha Kamalova (comic book “The Barsiklar Family”);
- Bulat Gataullin (play based on the fairy tale “The Devil and His Daughter”).
By the end of 2024, winning projects will be implemented and presented to the public in early 2025.
