On September 27, the International Symposium “Traditions and Innovations in Muslim Education in Russia” started in Kazan. Within the framework of the symposium, the Forum of Teachers of Muslim Educational Organizations, the International Olympiad in Islamic Disciplines and the Arabic Language, as well as the conferences “Topical Issues of Methods of Teaching Arabic as the Language of Muslim Sacred Texts” and “Media Tolerance – 2023” are held.

The symposium is attended by more than 500 teachers and leaders of Muslim education, as well as representatives of international Islamic educational centers, religious leaders, scientists and government officials.

A plenary session of the symposium was held on September 28. The moderator of the plenary session was the rector of the Russian Islamic Institute, Professor Rafik Mukhametshin.

During the meeting, teachers and staff of religious educational organizations were awarded. The winners of the XVI All-Russian Olympiad among students of Islamic educational institutions in Islamic disciplines and Arabic were also awarded.
