House of Friendship of Peoples named after A.E. Kulakovsky released a set of postcards “Tatar national costume” (men’s folk clothing).
The compiler of the unique series “National Costume” is a leading methodologist in the library business of the resource educational and methodological center of the House of Friendship of Peoples named after A.E. Kulakovsky Iraida Korkina.
Artistic taste, part of the traditions and material culture of the Tatar people bears a new issue of postcards “Tatar national costume” (men’s folk clothing), published by the House of Peoples’ Friendship after A.E. Kulakovsky. Here you will find bright, colorful images of hats, shirts, shoes, pants, outerwear, caftan, ornaments and other parts of the Tatar men’s national costume. Each card has a brief information, and in some there are diagrams of a cut of a different part of clothing.
Tatar costume is a system of folk and artistic creativity, which includes manufacturing of fabrics, complex and richly ornamented hats, production of various types of dresses and vests. All elements of the system came out in accord combining in color, form, material of manufacture, forming a single stylistic ensemble.
Postcards are sold at the kiosk and in the library of the House of Friendship of Peoples after A.E. Kulakovsky.
