Preserving and Promoting Spiritual and Cultural Heritage

On February 12, a roundtable discussion was held at the House of Officers Cultural Development Center on the topic: “Multinational Russia: Preserving Cultural Traditions and Promoting Spiritual Values in the Region in Modern Conditions.”

The discussion was attended by the Authorized Representative of the Governor of the Penza Region, Pavel Maslov; the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Penza Region, Sergey Bychkov; the Deputy Chairperson of the Tatar National-Cultural Autonomy of the Penza Region and a member of the Public Chamber, Venera Mukhamedzhanova; the Executive Director of the Tatar National-Cultural Autonomy of the Penza Region, Albina Shabanova; as well as representatives from regional executive authorities, the regional Public Chamber, traditional religious organizations, and leaders of national-cultural associations and autonomies.

A key focus of the roundtable was strengthening the unity of Russia’s diverse communities, preserving and popularizing cultural traditions, and promoting spiritual values in the region.

During the discussion, Venera Mukhamedzhanova highlighted the contribution of Russia’s multinational people to the victory in the Great Patriotic War. She emphasized the importance of preserving historical memory and passing it down to future generations, as well as the need to engage young people in patriotic activities.

Venera Fatikhovna also presented a series of events planned by the Tatar National-Cultural Autonomy of the Penza Region in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and invited representatives of all nationalities to participate. The planned events include:

  • A roundtable discussion for Defender of the Fatherland Day: “War Knows No Borders.”
  • A discussion platform: “Woman. Mother. War.”
  • An online campaign: “15 Days to Victory: Let’s Remember Everyone!”
  • A historical board game on WWII: “The Road to Victory.”
  • An online challenge: “Different Yet United: The Children of Great Russia.”

The discussion on these topics will continue, along with efforts to involve citizens in preserving cultural traditions.
