President of the Republic of Tatarstan met with the Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region

Today, at the end of the working visit to Magnitogorsk, an official meeting of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov with the Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region Boris Dubrovsky took place. At the meeting issues of further development of relations between the regions were discussed. From the Republic of Tatarstan, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of Tatars Vasil Shaykhraziev, Director of the Department of Foreign Relations of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Eduard Khabibullin, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in Sverdlovsk Region Khaidar Gilfanov, General Director of JSC “PO“ Zavod im. Sergo ”Radik Khasanov, Chairman of the Congress of Tatars of the Chelyabinsk Region Lena Kolesnikova and others took part.
At the beginning of the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Boris Dubrovsky for facilitating the visit of the Tatarstan delegation and visiting the largest enterprise in the industry, the Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Combine. He also recalled that in July of this year he visited the city of Snezhinsk, after which an agreement on cooperation between the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan and the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Technical Physics named after academician E.I. Zababakhin. was signed in Kazan. In addition, the Institute is developing a partnership with the Ministry of Health of Tatarstan on the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
Currently, the Chelyabinsk Region is among the leading partners of Tatarstan in interregional trade and economic relations. Cooperation develops on the basis of the Plan for the implementation of the Agreement between the Republic of Tatarstan and the Chelyabinsk Region for 2018-2020, which was signed in July this year at INNOPROM in Yekaterinburg. Last year, interregional trade exceeded 35 billion rubles. Tatarstan supplies mainly trucks and cars, buses, various tires, refrigerators, foodstuffs, detergents; paints and varnishes and medical instruments, metal, cement and building materials, trams, foodstuffs and consumer goods are imported from the Chelyabinsk Region.
During the meeting of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov with the Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region Boris Dubrovsky the issues of further development of relations between the regions were discussed, the parties agreed to increase interregional trade turnover to 60 billion rubles by 2020.
“We know that in 2020 the Chelyabinsk region is hosting summits of the SCO and BRICS. I am sure that this event will give a powerful impetus to the infrastructure development of Chelyabinsk and the entire region. I wish you successful preparation and holding this major event, ”the President of Tatarstan said addressing the Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region and expressed confidence in the strengthening and growth of mutually beneficial ties between the regions.
