The President of Russia will meet in Kazan with members of the Russian national team for professional excellence and will speak at the close of the championship.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov today will attend the closing ceremony of the 45th WorldSkills Kazan 2019 Championship of Professional Excellence, which will be held at the Kazan Arena stadium. This was reported by Tatar-inform press service of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan.
In the morning, Head of the republic plans to meet with Vice Chairman of the People’s Political Consultative Council of China, Wang Yongqing, who arrived in Kazan the day before at the head of the PRC delegation. The main purpose of the visit of guests from the Middle Kingdom is to participate in the closing ceremony of the WorldSkills Championship, during which the representatives of China will be transferred the flag of world championship. Chinese Shanghai, following Kazan, will become the host of the 46th championship of working professions in 2021.
During the day, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan will take part in the meeting of the General Assembly of WorldSkills International, which will be held on the territory of the Kazan Expo exhibition complex. In the evening, Rustam Minnikhanov will visit the Kazan Arena stadium, where the closing ceremony of the championship in professional skills will take place.
According to the press service of the President of Russia, the first person of the state, Vladimir Putin, will also attend the ceremony. “In addition to speaking to participants in international competitions, Vladimir Putin will meet with the Russian team of young professionals and WorldSkills International President Simon Bartley,” the Kremlin press service said in a statement.
In May 2019, employees of the Kazan Gorbunov Aviation Plant, a branch of PJSC Tupolev, asked Vladimir Putin to visit Kazan during the WorldSkills Championship. The Russian President then visited the aircraft factory with an inspection trip, praising the modernization of the strategic missile carrier Tu-160.
