In Tyumen, a recital of Valima Tashkalovwas held. Specialist on cultural studies, chief of the department for culture and public relations of the Congress of the Tyumen region of Tatars, the author of books and teaching aids, head of the Tyumen regional festival of Tatar Folklore “Tugyaryak uyen” for more than 40 years dedicated herself to work in the culture, and 25 years gave for revival of the national-cultural movement in the Tyumen region. For social activities V. Tashkalova received a number of prestigious awards, among which are the award named after Bulat Suleymanov, medal from the World Congress of Tatars “For Services to the Tatar people.”
