Regional center of Tatar culture named after Gabdulla Tukai will open in Domodedovo

The Moscow regional center of the Tatar culture named after Gabdulla Tukai will be officially opened in the city of Domodedovo on the birthday of the poet.
At a meeting of the activists of the Tatar public in Moscow and the Moscow region, held on February 28, 2019 at the RT Representation in the Russian Federation, first deputy chairman of the NGO Tartanka Tatarstan, head of the Tatar National Center of the Moscow Region Fuad Sultanov announced the date of the official opening of the Moscow Regional Center Tatar culture named after Gabdulla Tukai.
The opening ceremony will be held April 26, 2019 – the birthday of the great Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukai. On this day, the whole Turkic world, the Tatar people and the general public will celebrate the 133rd anniversary of the “Tatar Pushkin”.
On this day, the Day of the Tatar language is annually celebrated in Tatarstan. It is symbolic that the opening of the Moscow regional center of the Tatar culture, the birthday of Gabdulla Tukai and the Day of the Tatar language fall on one day. This is a deep moral meaning and a stable connection of times. It is well known with what trepidation Tukay treated his native language, calling it holy and beautiful: “The native language is the holy language, the father and mother language. How beautiful you are! I have comprehended the whole world in your wealth! ”
The Tatar Cultural Center in the suburban town of Domodedovo has been opened on the initiative of the Chairman of the Local Tatar National Cultural Autonomy Fuad Sultanov and has been operating since 2011. Since May 2014, the Regional Public Organization “Tatar National Center of the Moscow Region”, headed by Fuad Sultanov, is registered and operates on the basis of this center.
The urban district of Domodedovo, in fact, became the Tatar capital of the Moscow region. Here, since 2005, the city-wide Tatar national-cultural holiday “Sabantuy” is held annually, gathering about 6 thousand people. In 2019, the 15th anniversary Sabantui will be held in the city recreation and culture park.
Last year, the NGO “TSC MO” won a competition for a grant from the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan in the framework of the support of public organizations in the regions of the Russian Federation for the creation of the Gabdulla Tukai Moscow Regional Center for Tatar Culture. Using the funds of the grant, own and attracted funds, a bronze Gabdulla Tukai was made for the newly created regional Tatar center (sculptor – Rim Akchurin), the room was repaired, the exposition devoted to the life and work of Tukaya was assembled and posted, original exhibits were made, a booklet was issued, the library is completed with literature, and also the corner from household items of a rural Tatar family has been created created.
