The holiday will be held on June 17 at the tourist zone “Turquoise Katun”. Guests of the event will have a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the rich culture of the Tatar people and other national communities of the Altai Krai. The grand opening of Sabantuy is scheduled at 11 pm. The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov will give a welcoming speech, the Altai Krai Administration  on external relations, tourism and resort business.

In the program of the holiday – performances of masters of arts of Tatarstan and folklore collectives of Altai. Those who wish can take part in various contests and competitions – national wrestling kuresh, battles with bags on a log, horse races, lifting weights, races in bags, smashing pots with blindfolds and others.

Also during the holiday, you can try the dishes of Tatar cuisine: ochpochmaki, peremyachi, belyashi, kytybiy, chak-chak. On “Turquoise Katun” an exhibition-fair of products of national craftsmen is organized: paintings, stucco molding, national clothes and shoes.
