The V International Literary Contest “Jalilov Readings” started on October 15, 2022. The event is being implemented by the World Congress of the Tatars jointly with the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan.

More than 40 thousand applications were accepted. Applications were received from 38 regions of the Russian Federation and foreign countries: Azerbaijan, the Republic of Belarus, Bulgaria, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan.

The participants read poems in 23 languages. For the first time in the history of the contest, works in Chechen, Serbian and Japanese were considered.
