December 22, 2017, one of the active leaders of the religious communities of the Moscow region, Rinat hazrat Sayfutdinov, passed away. He organized the construction of a mosque in the city of Shchyolkovo, which was opened in 2001, a Sunday school for teaching the Tatar language. In 2004, based on the local Tatar community, the 4th Moscow regional Sabantuy was held. For active work in the sphere of preserving the Tatar language and customs, Rinat Bilyaletdinovich was awarded the medal “In memory of the 1000th anniversary of Kazan”, and was also elected a delegate of the 4th congress of the World Congress of Tatars. Everyone who knew him will remain in his memory as a deeply respectable person loyal to his native people.
