March 18, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Mari El and the Republican center of Tatar culture are due to hold a roundtable discussion themed “Tatar television millyat hyazinyase”( Tatar language – national treasure).

Roundtable conducted in order to study the complex problems and finding solutions in the field of teaching the Tatar language in schools of the Republic of Mari El. It will bring together teachers of Tatar language and literature of Mari El schools, representatives and experts of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Mari El, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Republican center of Tatar culture.

The main themes of the Roundtable:

1. Methods, techniques , tools to enhance the effectiveness of educational activities at training Tatar language and literature in a modern school.
2. Status and Challenges of teaching the Tatar language and literature in schools and ways to solve them.
3. Using modern innovative technology at the lessons of Tatar language and literature.
4. Providing schools with textbooks and other teaching, didactic, visual materials and manuals, videos – audio recordings of native language and literature.
5. Role and place of folk art in the education of the younger generation.
6. Local lore at the native language lessons.
