The President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, congratulated residents and guests of the republic on the national Sabantuy holiday. This was reported by the press service of the head of the republic.

The head of the republic noted that for its ancient history the holiday absorbed the unique traditions of the Tatar people, based on deep respect for the native language, rich culture and customs of ancestors. According to the President, Sabantuy reflects our national character with its natural prowess, industry, generosity.

Rustam Minnikhanov stressed that Sabantuy is, first of all, a holiday of grain growers, rural workers, whose efforts create the food well-being of the republic.

“We are sincerely grateful to you, dear friends, for the love and devotion to our native land and so hard, but noble work!” – the message of the head of the republic says.

The President of Tatarstan especially noted the fact that this year not only Tatarstanians and our compatriots will be able to join the celebration of Sabantuy, but also numerous guests of the World Cup in football.

Rustam Minnikhanov wished residents and guests of the republic positive emotions and new forces: “Let the present Sabantuy give all of us the most positive emotions and give new strength to creativity and creative work!
