On 15 June the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who  came on a working trip to Perm region to take part in the XIV All-Russia rural Sabantuy held in the Village of Barda, laid flowers to the bust of the Hero of the Soviet Union the poet Musa Djalil erected in the village.

Later the same day, accompanied by the Governor of Perm region Dmitriy Makhonin, Rustam Minnikhanov visited Sabantuy sites, looked round arts and crafts compounds and the site of Kukmor region from Tatarstan where its residents displayed a traditional Tatar farmstead.

The bust of the famous Tatar poet, the Hero of the Soviet Union Musa Djalil created by the famous St Petersburg sculptor Vinera Abdullina was sent to Perm region in May of the current year to the Village of Barda where there is also a garden to be named after the poet.
