The museum presents lifetime editions and photographs of the poet, newspapers and magazines, with the editions of which he collaborated, personal belongings and documents of people from his entourage. The most valuable and interesting exhibits are memorial things, including a crockery, a wicker road basket, a towel, silver cufflinks, a metal pencil cup, and an ink cup of Tukay.
The museum uses modern technology. For example, Rustam Minnikhanov was shown a robot-guide who “talks” in Russian and English, and in the future should “learn” Tatar. While he could not answer the question of the President “Apush, hyallyar nichek?”
During the excursion for the guests of honor, verses by the great poet was heard. A song on the poetry of Tukay “Tugan tel” was performed together with the invited artists of the Tatar Theater after G. Kamal.
The President of the Republic of Tatarstan also talked with the People’s Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Ilyas Aidarov. In one of the halls an exhibition of his works has been presented. All 17 paintings he donated to the G.Tukai Literary Museum. Having learned about this, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the artist.
“Here is my exhibition, 13 works with sights of old Kazan, three with Tukay and one with my great-grandfather are presented. At one time my great-grandfather Mutygulla Tukhvatullin took to his family to raise an eight-year orphan. This was Gabdulla Tukai. As this museum opens a new exposition, I was offered to exhibit works on the theme of Kazan and Tukay. I imagined all this. The museum showed interest in acquiring several works. But I had an idea to donate the whole exposition to the museum, for me it is a great honor, “the artist explained in a conversation with the correspondent of IA” Tatar-inform “.
“We need the museum to be visited by children during school hours. In the summer we come on excursions. It is necessary to invite here, “Rustam Minnikhanov said after the end of the tour.
The President of the Republic of Tatarstan also asked to pay attention to the external beautification of the museum territory. “There is a nice square here. Maybe put benches so people can go out and sit in the park. We need to arrange a little, “- he suggested.
