On 6 August the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who came on a working trip to Bugulma, visited the hew Gauhar Mosque the construction of which was sponsored by residents of the city and philanthropists.

The Rais of the republic looked round the mosque and was told about its work. The two-storey building with two 27 meters minarets is marked by a unique design combining traditional and innovational approaches to architecture and decorations.

The new public space comprising a carefully landscaped park with a football pitch and pedestrian and bike paths, the fitness area and a children’s playground have been created at the surrounding area.
