On 29 August the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by the Chief Mufti of the republic Kamil Samigullin visited the festive site of Mawlid an –Nabi – the ceremony dedicated to the birthday of Prophet Muhammad and organized by the monument to Tatar theologian Shigabutdin Marjani in the Old Tatar Settlement in the center of Kazan.

Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated Kazan residents and guests of the city with the Mawlid an –Nabi fest and said: “We are celebrating the birthday of Prophet Muhammad, a very beautiful event organized in the historical part on the city”  and wished everyone good health and success.

The Rais of the republic also visited the festival of modern Tatar culture “The Hay Bazaar” and talked to its organizers and visitors.
