The festival of Tatar cuisine “Crimean Spring” was held in the regional center for the first time and was dedicated to the fifth anniversary of the annexation of Crimea to Russia.
The Gubernatorial Orchestra met Tambov citizens and city guests on the Music Square. In the air there were aromas of various national dishes. Anyone could try a real Tatar pilaf, which was prepared right there in a large cauldron. On the shelves of the most different pastries: echpochmak, khvorost, chak-chak. Someone tasted sweet, someone on what is more satisfying.
– My son and I tried chack-chack for now. I want to try another pilaf. When it is still happened – the real one from cauldron and wood. It is right that the Crimea is now with us. How much Russian blood has been shed for it Svetlana shared her impressions from Tambovchanka.

– We are preparing a Tatar national dish – peremyach: unleavened dough, flour, soda, and inside the stuffing of horse meat. This is our favorite dish, says the eldest of her team Asylkay.
The cuisine of the Crimean Tatars contains a variety of Caucasian, Russian and Italian dishes. Culinary traditions there evolved over the centuries. Back in the days of the Crimean Khanate, special attention was paid to etiquette and food culture. This was an important component of the education of young generation. Attitude to food has never been there consumer. Food was respectful. For the guest it was considered tactless to refuse food. And for the master it was a shame not to treat his guest.
– Tambov region together with all Russia celebrates this holiday. I had the honor to speak at the first rally, dedicated to the reunification of the Crimea with Russia, – Irina Ten, Deputy Chairperson of the Tambov Regional Duma, greeted the audience at the Music Square. – Five years have passed. Much has been done. Today, social institutions are being built on the peninsula. There is a unique airport, the Taurida highway is almost complete, and, of course, a bridge was built that connected the Crimea and Russia forever. I would like to thank everyone who gathered here and especially the participants of the festival who presented here the real national cuisine.
For the whole day the festival of the Crimean-Tatar cuisine was visited by more than 15 thousand residents and guests of the city. It ended with a rewarding of participants and a festive concert.
