Shot on the basis of Tatar fairy tales film “Water ghost” will show in 54 cities of Russia

Tatarstan cinema for the first time goes to the Russian and international distribution. The movie by film director and producer Alexei Barykin “Water ghost”, based on Tatar fairy tales, will be shown in 54 cities of Russia. March 11, the filmmakers presented it to journalists.
“The film will be shown in 250 cinemas. This film has not yet been rolled out. I am not talking about films made in Tatarstan by Moscow film companies. “Water ghost” is the first film made by Tatarstan citizens and which goes into Russian and international distribution, ”Aleksey Barykin told reporters.
Since March 7, “Water ghost” is in cinemas in Kazakhstan. According to Barykin, the film already has some fees there. From March 14, the film will be available in Russian cinemas. In Tatarstan, it will go both in commercial cinemas and in cinemas of the State Budgetary Educational Institution of Medicine RT “Tatarkino”.
The film was shot by the actress of the Kazan Youth Theater Guzel Shakirzyanova, the actors of the Kamalovsky theater Ildus Gabdrakhmanov, Fanis Ziganshin and the Tatar actress Nafisa Khairullina who now lives in Moscow.
According to the plot of the film, a resident of Moscow Alsou arrives with children in her native village of Bolshiy Achasyry. On the very first night in the village a woman is abducted by Water. Children begin to look for their mother, and the solution is found in Tatar fairy tales.
