On September 19, the next interregional VII agricultural economic forum “Shygyrdan Dialogue” will be held in Chuvash Republic on the theme: “Current situation, problems and perspectives of development of rural territories” in the framework of the federal project “Village – the soul of Russia”. This forum is implemented as an initiative by the residents of rural areas of the republic, religious organizations and Public Councils of the villages of Chuvashia.
The organizers of the forum are the Spiritual Board of Muslims of the Chuvash Republic with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia, the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia, the Administration of the Head, the Government and the State Council of the Chuvash Republic, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, the Commission for Harmonization of Interethnic and Interreligious Relations and Commission on Agro-Industrial Complex and Rural Development of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.
The annual rural economic forum “Shygyrdan Dialogue” is realized as a model for the formation of a unified platform for communication of villagers, agricultural producers, government officials, clergy, business, non-profit associations and the scientific community to develop a coordinated and effective position on sustainable rural development.
The main goal of the forum is to develop forms and methods for the socio-economic development of the village, to remove constraints to the implementation of ideas, projects and opportunities for people living in the countryside.
The Shygyrdan forum is a kind of pilot site for creating areas of advanced agricultural development in the regions of the Russian Federation.
Thanks to this site, the activity of the villagers is stepped up, the public initiative of citizens is being formed, ways of solving social conflicts to a civilized solution of problems are being worked out, ways are being developed to influence the state institutions of power and forms of interaction with them, new directions in the development of human life in rural areas are emerging.
The project “Shygyrdan Dialogue” has been actively developing since 2011. Opening of the forum and its plenary part will be held on September 19 in the village of Shygyrdan Batyrevsky district of the Chuvash Republic.
When implementing the project, state support funds allocated as a grant are used in accordance with the order of the President of the Russian Federation “68-rp of 05/04/2016 and on the basis of a competition held by the Fund for Support of Civic Engagement in Small Towns and Rural Territories” Perspective “.
Shigyrdan is a large Tatar village formed in the 15th century. It was part of the Buinsky Uyezd of Simbirsk governorship of the Kazan province. Today in the village there are 2,200 private subsidiary farms with a population of about 6 thousand people.
The village of Shygyrdan is the second largest Tatar village in the world. The total area of the rural settlement is 1,569 hectares, of which arable land is 887 hectares, and the land of settlements is 379 hectares. In the rural settlement, ongoing work is carried out to implement the priority national project “Affordable and Comfortable Housing for the Citizens of Russia”. The main city-forming base for the development of the rural settlement is the agricultural enterprise “Duslyk” and more than six dozen farms – “Chabatov FK”, “Srsha IM”, “Shamsutdinov IB” and others. There are also industrial enterprises for processing timber and processing agricultural products.
