The courses were part of a large-scale educational project organized by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of St. Petersburg and the Northwestern Region of Russia, together with the Cultural and Educational Center Dagestan.
The graduation ceremony and awarding of diplomas took place at the Amarant restaurant. The results of the summer sessions were summed up by the deputy imam of the cultural and educational center Dagestan, Alibeg Gereev, and teacher (muallima) Jamilya Gereeva, who shared a touching story about one of the students. The girl admitted that her mother had brought her to the courses, but at first she had categorically refused to study, even telling the deputy imam directly. However, after getting acquainted with the other students, she changed her mind and began to attend the classes with joy.
Boys and girls, taking turns, recited surahs from the Blessed Quran, tested their knowledge by answering quiz questions, and spoke about the moments they enjoyed most.
Kazim Temirbulatov, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Dagestan Muftiate in the Northwestern Federal District, addressed the graduates with parting words. He emphasized the importance of acquiring religious knowledge and encouraged the students to apply it in their lives. The organizers expressed special gratitude to the mothers who prepared meals every day for the students and teachers.
At the end of the celebration, the participants were treated to a delicious lunch and a variety of sweets, and each graduate received a diploma certifying the successful completion of the summer courses. The event concluded with a collective prayer.
