Symbols of women’s beauty and strength: BRICS 2026 crowns on display at the museum

On March 24, the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan officially received three crowns belonging to the winners of the first International Beauty Contest of BRICS countries. The crowns will be on display for all museum visitors until April 5.

“It is no coincidence that these magnificent works of art are being exhibited at the National Museum – a treasury of our memory and history. It is important to make our contemporary heritage accessible so that, over the years and centuries, it becomes a historical relic,” noted Yulia Adgamova, First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan.

“It is still hard for us to fully grasp the value of these authentic treasures,” said Ayrat Fayzrakhmanov, General Director of the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan. “On one hand, they are symbols of elegance, beauty, luxury, and the richness of BRICS cultures. On the other, they now occupy a place in our national treasury. This symbolizes that the examples of Tatar jewelry art presented here are an integral part of both global and domestic cultural heritage, reflecting the deep connections between the cultures of different nations and countries.”

Following the ceremonial speeches, the organizers of the “Miss BRICS” contest were awarded certificates of appreciation by the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The first-ever international beauty contest uniting BRICS countries as a platform for cultural, humanitarian, and social dialogue was held in Kazan from March 1 to 8 in three categories. Valentina Alekseeva from Russia won the “Miss BRICS” title. In the “Mrs. BRICS” category, the winner was Millisent Mpholodi Tlou from South Africa. Among the youngest contestants, the title of the first “Little Miss BRICS” went to Dumalaog Saffira Kara Gille from China.
