Free Tatar language courses for the public will resume in Yekaterinburg on September 15, 2024. Classes will be held at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Sverdlovsk region. An organizational session drew approximately forty participants from Yekaterinburg, Revda, and Pervouralsk.

Khaidar Gilfanov, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan, welcomed participants and highlighted the unique value of knowing the Tatar language in a predominantly Russian-speaking city like Yekaterinburg.

“Learning Tatar is not difficult – it’s as logical as building with a construction set”, Gilfanov remarked, expressing his hopes for the participants’ success in mastering their native language.
