“Tatars Headquarters  (Shtab Tatar) ” took part in the opening of the “Tent of Ramadan”

On the first day of the holy month of Ramadan, the ceremonial opening of the “Tent of Ramadan” on Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow was held. In 2019, the Tent near the Memorial Mosque opened its doors for the fourteenth time. Representatives of the federal and metropolitan authorities, prominent political, public and religious figures, Muslims and parishioners of mosques, and the media were guests of the festive evening. An important event for the Tatars of Moscow was also visited by representatives of the “Tatars of Moscow Headquarters”.

According to the IDA website, Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin in his opening speech congratulated the Muslims of Russia on the holy month of Ramadan and expressed heartfelt thanks to the country’s leadership and the authorities of the capital, science, culture and education, highlighting their assistance in organizing Muslim holidays, including conducting Muslim educational charity programs as part of the annual Ramadan Tent.

During the official part of the celebration with medals of Muslims of Russia, Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin awarded Adilya Khanum Alyautdinova, the mother of Shamil and Ildar Alautdinov, and Professor Valery Vladimirovich Bakushev, Head of the Department of Parliamentarism and Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, Doctor of Political Sciences.

Moslems were also congratulated by  head of the Department for Relations with Religious Organizations of the Office of the President of the Russian Federation, Evgeny Vladimirovich Eremin, Deputy Head of the Department of National Policy and Interregional Relations of the City of Moscow, Head of the Department for Relations with Religious Organizations Konstantin Blazhenov.

During the month, themed evenings and charity events will be held daily at the Memorial Mosque on Poklonnaya Hill. Muscovites and guests of the capital will be told about Islam, about the traditions and culture of the countries of the Muslim world and the regions of Russia with a significant Muslim population.

As the Tatar Headquarters Coordinator Gulnara Yarullina noted, the Ramadan Tent during the Uraza Ramadan Tent becomes one of the meeting centers for Tatar youth. “We express gratitude to all the organizers, first of all to our spiritual leader Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin, for  implementation of such a significant project for the Muslims of Moscow. We are looking forward to the evening of Tatarstan in the “Tent of Ramadan” – said Gulnara Yarullina.

Tatars Headquarters
