On July 2 and 5, the Days of Tatarstan cinema will be held in Nur-Sultan. The event was organized in the framework of the Eurasia International Film Festival, which will be held in the capital of Kazakhstan from June 30 to July 6, 2019. The program of the film forum Tatarstan will be allocated a separate section for impressions.
Spectators of Kazakhstan will see Tatarstan films “Insaf” based on the play by R. Batulla “Forgive Me, Mother” (director F. Davletshin), “Ostazbike” themed on same-name work by G.Isskhaki (dir. R. Karimov-Saiga), “Halima” (dir. Yu.Zakharova), “Father’s House” based on the cognominal work by G. Gilmanov (dir. A. Galiaskarov, N. Yurushbaev).
We remind that in 2018, during the XIV Kazan International Festival of Muslim Cinema, an agreement on mutually beneficial cooperation was signed between the two cinema forums. The days of Tatarstan cinema in Kazakhstan were initiated by President of the Eurasia Film Festival – a famous film director, writer Yermek Tursunov, in order to continue to acquaint the audience of Kazakhstan with the cinema of Tatarstan, as well as in the framework of intercultural cooperation between the republics.
Tatarstan filmmakers’ films will be shown at the Chaplin cinema in the Mega Silk Way shopping and entertainment center where the competitive and out-of-competition program of the Eurasia film festival will be shown.
As part of the film forum, an international pitching of film projects will take place, where the project of the film “Almachuar” based on the work by G. Ibragimov of the same name was announced. On pitching it will be presented by director Ilshat Rakhimbay and producer Milyausha Aytuganova. The director of “Tatarkino” is also invited to the film festival as a member of the jury section of the short meter.

The international film festival “Eurasia” this year will be held on the 15th jubilee time. This year’s competition program traditionally reflects the concept of “Eurasia” – the establishment of a cinema bridge between East and West. The main competition of this year includes paintings from China, France, Russia, Macedonia, Italy, the Philippines, Israel, Ukraine, Australia and other countries. Tajikistan, South Korea, Belarus, Iran, Uzbekistan, Japan and other countries will be represented in a short meter competition.
Non-competition programs will also be presented at the festival: “Lens”, “Special Event”, “NETPAC Choice” and “From the Heart of Eurasia”.
The program of the Days of Tatarstan cinema in Nur-Sultan:
July 2 at 18:00: Full-length feature film “Insaf”, director Farid Davletshin, based on the play “Forgive Me, Mom” by R. Batulla, 55 minutes / the short film “Ostazbike” (based on the works by G. Isskhaki), director R. Karimov-Saiga, time-keeping 29 minutes.
July 5 at 10:00: Feature film “Halima”, directed by Yulia Zakharova, 30 minutes / “Father’s House” by director Amir Galiaskarov, Nasur Yurushbaev, after the works of G. Gilmanov of the same name, 28 minutes running time.
The days of Tatarstan’s cinema will take place at the Chaplin cinema of the MegaSilkWay shopping center at Kabanbai Batyr, 62. Admission is free!
