The 13th season of the Islamic courses for young brides “Yash kilen” has started in Kazan

On the 9th day of the month of Rabi’ al-Akhir (October 1), a new, thirteenth season of the project “Yash Kilen” (“Young Bride”) began in Kazan.

The opening ceremony, dedicated to the 1500th anniversary of the Prophet ﷺ (according to the Hijri calendar), took place in the banquet hall “Millet” in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, bringing together 70 women. The founders and inspirers of this valuable project told the participants about the essence of the courses and emphasized what to focus on when planning family life.

It was not merely the start of an educational program but a unification of 70 sisters in faith, joined by one shared goal — to gain knowledge that would fill their future families with blessings, understanding, and the mercy of Allah. Each guest felt like a part of one big family, surrounded by support and sincerity. The evening was filled with barakah (divine blessing). The participants spoke about the importance of correct intentions and about the fact that family in Islam is the greatest gift and a responsibility before the Creator. Ahead lies a rich curriculum, deep topics, and many discoveries that will serve as a solid foundation for future happy families.

Launched in 2019, the “Yash Kilen” courses have become more engaging with each new season. They are designed for women aged 17 and older who wish to build a happy family and preserve their household in accordance with the laws of Almighty Allah — for young women preparing for marriage and for mothers of daughters “of marriageable age.”

“Yash Kilen” is an eight-week program for Muslim women who have realized that creating a family requires knowledge and inner growth. The project aims to strengthen family values among Muslim youth and focuses on marriage-related issues from the perspective of Sharia and Tatar traditions.

The educational course includes a wide range of topics based on the Qur’an, the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and the lessons of Islamic scholars and righteous predecessors. Esteemed ustazes and sheikhs with academic backgrounds deliver live lectures and video lessons on the rights and duties of spouses, mahr (dowry), choosing a righteous husband, the marriage contract, challenges faced by young families, relationships with in-laws, women’s health, financial literacy for Muslim women, the intimate side of marriage, and more.

Through these lessons, participants will acquire authentic knowledge about marriage, their rights and responsibilities, and learn to make thoughtful decisions in choosing a husband. Guest speakers include lawyers, doctors, scholars, and other experts.

The project team has prepared eight lesson-meetings in unique locations across Kazan, where each Muslim woman will have a chance to grow into a happy wife, mother, and simply a fulfilled woman. For better learning, the organizers have also provided text and video lessons. Participants study the materials independently and complete quizzes after each lesson. Weekly lessons are uploaded to a special online channel created for convenient access to learning materials.

Additionally, the participants will take part in marathons on emotional intelligence and managing household affairs according to the Sunnah, as well as read books on practical psychology.

It is worth noting that this year, “Yash Kilen” introduced a new feature — the opportunity to purchase a gift certificate for friends, wives, and other loved ones. Another valuable aspect of this project is that the organizers are simultaneously launching for the second time the long-awaited course for young Muslim men, “Yash Kiyäw” (“Young Groom”).
