The application period for the Milli MultFest Republican Children’s Film Festival, which brings together young animators and filmmakers from Tatarstan, has begun.

The festival is divided into two categories: “Animated films in the Tatar language” and “Short films for children in the Tatar language”. The competition is open to children between the ages of 7 and 17, or creative teams. Participants are invited to submit their films made using various techniques – plasticine, paper animation, and modern graphics. The winners of the film festival will receive cash prizes.

The main themes are: devotion to traditions, oral folk art, and socially significant animated films.

Applications are being accepted from 1 August 2024 until 1 November 2024. The second stage – the qualifying round, where the jury will review the entries – will take place from 1 to 20 November 2024. The final stage will be held on 7 December at the Mir cinema.
