The awarding ceremony for the winners of the Interregional Competition of Theatre Groups “Idel-Yort – 2024” and the screening of the performance of the Grand Prix winner held in Kazan

On December 9th,the awarding ceremony for the winners of the Interregional Competition of Theatre Groups “Idel-Yort – 2024” took place at the Kamal Theatre. Guests were also treated to a performance by the Grand Prix winner.

This year, the Tatar People’s Theatre ‘Hayat’ of the Yanaul District of the Republic of Bashkortostan took home the Grand Prix at the 24th Interregional Theatre Competition “Idel-Yort – 2024”. The troupe presented the jury with a production based on Angam Atnabaev’s play “Ana khokeme”, directed by Hamzin Salavat Salimovich.

Deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, First Deputy Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars, and Head of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of the Tatars Danis Shakirov welcomed the guests and presented letters of thanks from the World Congress of the Tatars to the participating theaters.

The winners of the 24th Interregional Competition of Theatre Groups “Idel-Yort – 2024” were also awarded at the event and were wished continued success in their creative endeavors.

The competition is held within the framework of the ‘Preservation of the National Identity of the Tatar People’ program and contributes to the preservation of theatrical traditions and the strengthening of interethnic ties.

Since 1998, the Idel-Yort competition has brought together theatre groups from across the Republic of Tatarstan and various regions of the Russian Federation on an annual basis. The competition’s primary objective is to foster and advance amateur theater, enhance performance abilities, and increase creative opportunities for aspiring artists and stage directors.
