The Apush theater studio has been awarded the title “Best Performance” at the 11th TriumF All-Russian Theatre Arts Competition, according to the children’s jury. Kazan residents presented a musical based on the play “Village Dog Akbai” (“Avyl ete Akbai”) by Tatar playwright Tufan Minnullin. The production was directed by Aliya Faizrakhmanova.
In addition, the studio became a laureate of the II degree and the winner in the nomination “Best Musical Design”. The compositions for the play were written by Zulfat Valiullin, and the live musical accompaniment was provided by the Muzafarov band of Children’s School No. 18 under the direction of Ilsia Fatkhullina, the director of the institution.
Among the jury members were Alexander Minin, President of the ‘Scarlet Sails’ Cultural Foundation, Sergei Safronov, director, producer, actor of the Raikin Variety Theatre and the Moscow Gubernsky Theatre, Maria Dobraya, founder and artistic director of the Mary Theatre, Larisa Villaste, director of the Moscow Gubernsky Theatre, and others.
The competition was held from November 30 to December 3. The participants were 63 associations, including those from Moscow and St. Petersburg. The awarding of the winners took place in the cultural capital of Russia, reports the department for the implementation of national policy in the field of language culture.
Recall, the premiere of the musical “Village Dog Akbai” took place in January this year. The work raises the themes of friendship and loyalty, cunning and betrayal.
