A special diplom of the jury “Best Debut” of the VIII Cheboksary International Film Festival has got the movie “Aisylu”, director Rustam Rashitov (Republic of Tatarstan).

The VIII Cheboksary International Film Festival dedicated to the cinema of minor nations, was held from May 18 to 23, 2015. The viewers have been presented a competitive program of feature films made up of 11 motion pictures, a competitive program of feature films of minor nations of the 13 movies. Also, a special program “Cinema – to children” – “A screen adaptation of Russian folk tales”, a retrospective screening of films “Victory. One for all “, a special project “Kino Hause”, night cinema, “Lyubov Orlova and Grigory Alexandrov”, a retrospective show of the “Great Literature by Alexander Sokurov’s eyes.”

Events, meetings with artists and film screenings were held on the basis of theaters and cultural institutions of Cheboksary and Yadrinsky, Poretsky and Krasnoarmeisky regions. In total, within the festival over 110 events were held, attended by more than 15 thousand residents and visitors of Chuvashia.
