The annual Interregional competition of theater groups “Idel-Yort” named after Shamil Zinnurovich Zakirov is held to develop amateur theater creativity of the peoples of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Tatar people living in the territory of the Russian Federation.

The contest  is held in three rounds. The first took place at the municipal regions of the Republic of Tatarstan and the regions of the Russian Federation. This year, more than 2 thousand people from 250 theater groups took part in it. The second qualifying round was held from March 11 to April 29 in Naberezhnye Chelny, Menzelinsk, Bugulma, Chistopol, Almetyevsk, Buinsk, in the Atninsky and Tyulyachinsky districts and covered more than 40 theater groups.

The final third round will be held in Kazan from October 6 to October 15 in the cultural and leisure complex to them. V.I. Lenin.
