The heartfelt sounds of “Avylim Tavyshlary” resonated once more in Mordovia.

On September 21st, the Tatar song festival-competition “Avylim Tavyshlary” was held at the “Almaz” Palace of Culture in the village of Lyambir. This year’s event, dedicated to the Year of the Family, was interregional, featuring performers from Tatarstan as well.

On behalf of the Ministry of Culture, National Policy, and Archival Affairs of Mordovia, Deputy Minister Albert Syavkaev welcomed the participants of “Avylim Tavyshlary” and the audience.

Yuri Golov, Head of Liambirsky District, and Razil Zinnatullin, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of the Tatars, also addressed the audience with words of welcome.

The gala concert program encompassed both modern pop and traditional Tatar songs and dances. The performances included solo artists and vocal groups. The festival featured participants of various ages. Awards were presented in different categories and age groups.

Rustem Nizamov, a singer from Tatarstan, deservedly won the Grand Prix of the “Avylim Tavyshlary” festival.

As a tradition, the main sponsor of the festival-competition was Rafik Fethullov, head of the “Yuldash” peasant-farming farm in the Lyambir district.
