On November 11-12, 2023, Yekaterinburg will host the International Competition of Tatar Dance performers “Shoma bas”. The event is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Culture of the Sverdlovsk Region, the World Congress of Tatars, the Sverdlovsk State Regional Palace of Folk Art. The organizers are the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Sverdlovsk region, the regional public organization “Congress of Tatars of the Sverdlovsk region”.

It’s aimed at increasing interest in the dance heritage of the Tatar people and creating conditions for the creative self-realization of teams.

The winner of the Grand Prix of the competition will receive a Certificate in the amount of 100,000 rubles for sewing Tatar national stage costumes.
