On June 8, a vibrant and significant cultural event — the Interregional Festival “Siberian Sabantuy” — will take place in Novosibirsk. This celebration brings together traditions, sports, music, and folk art, attracting guests from all over Siberia and other regions of Russia.
One of the main highlights of the festival will be the traditional belt wrestling competition Keresh, where participants will compete for the grand prize — a live ram.
Guests can look forward to a rich concert program featuring top creative groups from Siberia and the Republic of Tatarstan. Special attention will be drawn to the national fair, exhibitions, and workshops, offering everyone a chance to experience the rich culture of the Tatar people.
The festival grounds will also feature play and sports areas for both children and adults — giving everyone a chance to test their strength, agility, and wit.
This year, the festival will be especially dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland. The celebration will take place under the themes of remembrance, pride, and generational continuity.
The organizers promise many surprises and invite everyone to join the festivities.
