December 13, at 15.00, the exhibition of Kul Gali “Kyyssa and Yusuf” – a hymn to love”, to 780th anniversary of the poem The Legend of Yusuf will open in the museum of Islamic culture.
The exhibition is devoted to the role and place in the spiritual life of the Tatar people of the literary monument of XIII century, the book “The Legend of Yusuf (Kyssa and Yusuf)” outstanding poet humanist Kul Gal , founder of Bulgar- Tatar written literature. The continuing importance of the poem in his address to the eternal truths of human being: reward of the good, selfless, honest man humanist for his suffering and sacrifice in the name of justice and people’s happiness . He praised the moral ideals of the good, qualities of perfect human fortitude , fraternity between nations, relationships between people and ruler, love of man and woman, father and son.
The exhibition presents rare manuscript (XVIII-XIX cc.) and printed ( 1839-1917 ) versions of the book “Kyssa and Yusuf” modern studies and translations of poems, costumes, scenery items, posters, pre- production of the play and ballet based on the works.
The exhibition presents Competition Entries of students of secondary and higher art schools of the Republic Tatarstan for the best work of art and crafts based on the works by Kul Gali “Kyssa and Yusuf.”
