December 18, the “National Cultural House” Luch-Nur “marked its first festive date – 1 year after opening. Guests from Kazan, Gatchina, Tosno and other cities have arrived in Krasnoselsky district of St. Petersburg for a solemn event.
Despite the festive date at the national and cultural home, in the morning, it began working : for adults and children classes in Islamic education were on, in a nearby classroom learned utensils painting, using the Tatar national ornament. Then, a grand opening of the exhibition by Kayum Zhelyaletdinov “Red Village and Duderhof: Mishar opinion” took place.
The program was finalized by reception where the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in St. Petersburg and Leningrad oblast Renat Valiullin, representatives of the Executive Committee of the World Tatars Congress, the
Administration of the city of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad oblast, activists of the national communities of the city and the oblast have addressed.
In his speech, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan Renat Valiullin said: “The center is a unique project, which harmoniously united national-cultural and spiritual components of the Tatar people. From the very first day of the Center , the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Tatarstan in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Oblast are actively working with the National Cultural House. Head of Centre A.A. Alimov showed a good example for the other patrons of the Tatar community of the country, he has engendered a new tradition for the implementation of national policies for the preservation and development of the Tatar language and culture. ”
Then R. Valiullin solemnly handed “The National-Cultural House ” Luch-Nur “certificate from the President of the Republic of Tatarstan R.N. Minnikhanov for purchasing audio equipment. Also, commemorative medals to the 110-th
anniversary of the poet-hero M. Jalil, to artists who have contributed to the preservation of the memory and the legacy of the poet, and gifts to the activists National Cultural House.
With welcome speech and letters of thanks appeared representatives of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars, the administration of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region.
The great progress has been achieved for one year of work by A. A. Alimov and staff of the Centre. The building of the National Cultural House contains: a conference hall, classrooms, classrooms for dance and sports, guest rooms. With their own ensemble “Nur”, courses in the Tatar language, dance club, a private museum, children’s theater studio, a variety of recitals are hosted. The center hosts exhibitions of not only by Tatar artists, but exhibitions of works by the winners of children’s drawing competitions.
For the purposes of spiritual and educational activities in the center a space is allocated for the
prayer room, where, on a regular basis, Tatar imam is working , who conducts classes on the Arabic language, the old-Tatar written language and the basics of Islam.
The center is also featured by the only Tatar halal cafes of St. Petersburg, where the events are held non-alcoholic, naming ceremonies, nikakh, wedding, and during the month of Ramadan iftars are organized.
The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Tatarstan in St. Petersburg and Leningrad oblast wishes wants the National-Cultural House success, productive work, new discoveries and projects, with the hope of further cooperation.
